Avon Advance Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil Review

-->
Hi everyone!
I thought I’d just do a quick post on the new Avon Advance Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil which I recently purchased whilst in pursuit of replacement for the Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment. Although Moroccan Oil is a firm favourite of mine, I was looking for a cheaper alternative and when I saw this one in Avon I decided it as worth a try.

About the product and how to use it.....
A lot of people will probably be familiar with the Argan oil hair treatments as they are so popular at the moment and there are so many brands to choose from. The Avon Advance Techniques version is used in the same way as the others out there and you simply apply it evenly through damp hair and style as normal. This bottle costs £5.50 for 30ml which is very cheap for an Argan oil product and you don’t need to buy it that often as a little goes a long way.
The good...
I was a bit sceptical at first as I have used other Avon hair products in the past and haven’t been that impressed. However, after using this product I was happily surprised and my hair was left feeling soft, silky and nourished. I was also struck by how much shiner my hair appeared to be! It tamed all the fly-aways and frizz that my hair is prone to and made it much more manageable and easy to style. I really like the smell of the Avon Moroccan Oil and the pump style bottle which it comes in makes it easy to dispense without lots of product pouring out.
The not so good.....
There’s not much at all that I dislike about the Avon Moroccan Oil really. The only downsides are that it does weigh my hair down slightly more than the Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment that I usually use but not enough to put me off using it again. Apart from that I don’t have anything bad to say about it and I think it works more or less as well as some of the more expensive options available.
Overall I really like the Avon Moroccan Argan Oil and I think I will be using this hair treatment from now on. There is also a shampoo and conditioner in this range which I would be really interested to try so if I give it a go I will let you guys know how I get on :)
Has anyone tried the Avon Moroccan Oil? What did you think of it?

August Favourites :)

Helllooo,
So August has been and gone so quickly and it’s already time for another monthly favourites post! This month I have tried quite a few new products and I have been experimenting with a couple of different looks so I thought I’d share a few of the items that I having been using the most with you guys.
Body Shop Vanilla Eau De Toilette (usually £9 but on sale for £4.50)
I was in the Body Shop recently and picked up this perfume which was on sale for a bargain £4.50. I really love the smell which is a simple, sweet vanilla fragrance and the fairly small bottle means it’s handy to throw in your bag for touch ups during the day. Unfortunately I have heard that the vanilla collection is being discontinued and replaced with a vanilla and musk fragrance so I will be stocking up on this one while I can!
Revlon Pro You Texture Scrunch Curl Enhancer (£11.95)
My hair is naturally curly and when the weather is hot and humid it’s a nightmare to keep straight. When I went on holiday I wanted a product that would help stop my hair from frizzing and make the curls more defined. This product was so easy to use as you simply scrunch it into wet hair and leave it to dry naturally. It was fantastic on holiday and I have continued using it while the weather here has been so sticky and hot.
Benefit Watts Up (£24.50)

This has quickly become one of my favourite highlighters as I love the golden bronze glow it gives to my cheek bones and it’s really easy to apply. It is a bit on the pricey side but the one I have is a sample size and has lasted me ages so I don’t think you would need to buy the full sized one too often. I think I now prefer the Watts Up highlighter to Benefit’s Highbeam and will definitely be purchasing the full sized product once this one has run out.
Barry M Glitter Dust in No.15 Gold Iridescent (£4.59)
These glitter dusts from Barry M are great for a night out and I especially love the Gold Iridescent one for applying to the corner of the eye to make it really pop. I have just noticed that the little pot says ‘not for around the eyes’ on the bottom which I didn’t know before now. I have used it quite a few times and it has been fine but if your eyes are sensitive it might be best not to use it on that area. The only downside to the glitter pots is that they can be quite difficult to apply but I think that the finished look is worth the effort.
Nars Blusher, Orgasm (£21)

The first blusher I bought from Nars was the ‘Lustre’ shade and I wore it and wore and it has now almost run out so I decided to treat myself to a new one. ‘Orgasm’ is a gorgeous rosy pink colour with a hint of gold shimmer running through it. It glides onto the skin so easily and doesn’t budge all day. Nars blushers are my favourite ever blushers and I definitely think they are well worth the money.
Benefit Lipgloss, Life on the A List (£14)
I rarely get through lip glosses but this is the second tube of ‘Life on the A List’ that I have purchased as I use it almost every day. I was drawn to the pale pinky peach colour of this lip gloss and think it looks great on its own but is also good for adding over a lot of the lipsticks I own to give that extra shine.
So that’s it for my August faves J I’d love to hear if anyone out there has tried any of the products I’ve mentioned and what you thought of them, or if you have any products you have been loving this month :)
