Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon

Hi everyone,

Before I went on holiday I was in Boots getting all the bits and bobs I needed for when I was away when this Colour Boost lip crayon from Bourjois caught my eye. I wasn’t supposed to be buying any makeup and I had already spent loads on products for my holiday so I decided to get this using the points I had saved up on my Boots card. I was a little annoyed with myself afterwards as I had been trying to save my points up to buy some perfume and this had taken quite a large chunk out of them as it was £7.99.

I’m so glad I got this lipstick though as I used it non-stop whilst I was away. I bought the Peach on the Beach shade which is a really nice peachy pink colour and was perfect for summer. The SPF15 it contains meant my lips were protected from the Turkish sun too as I know how painful sunburnt lips can be! I know we are now heading into autumn but I have still been using it loads to brighten up some of my wintery outfits and it’s good to have an SPF in your makeup all year round.

I really like the creamy texture this lip crayon has and it is so moisturising too. Having said that it still has great staying power and lasts for absolutely ages before you need to reapply which is unusual for a lipstick with such a creamy texture. Although it certainly doesn’t last the 10 hours Bourjois claim it does!  I’m glad that the lipstick is retractable as I have had ones in the past that once you have twisted up you can’t get back down again which is really annoying.

Overall I can’t think of any bad points to this product and I definitely want to get some of the other shades in the range. It was a fab product to take on holiday but I am still using it tons even though we are heading into the colder weather now.

Have any of you guys tried the Bourjois Colour Boost lip crayons? Which shade is your favourite?

Haul!

Hi everyone,

Recently I have just been feeling like I have nothing to wear and I don’t like many of my clothes anymore so a couple of weeks ago I had a big clearout to make room for some new things. I sold a few of my old bits and bobs on eBay so that I had some extra money to spend and so I wouldn’t feel as guilty about just buying new clothes. I thought I would share with you guys what I have bought as I always love reading hauls and I thought it might give some people a few ideas for outfits :)

Miss Selfridge top - £18

I really like this top and it wasn’t very expensive either. I had actually gone to buy the t-shirt version but I think this will be much more wearable in winter.

Oasis leather-look  skater skirt - £39

I have wanted a leather-look skirt for quite a while now and I liked that this one had an elasticated waist as I thought it would be more comfortable. It is slightly big but I decided to keep this size so I can wear thicker jumpers with it in winter.

Primark heart crop top - £4.50

I actually saw someone wearing this top with a leather skirt and thought it looked really cute so I got it to go with the skirt I got from Oasis. Unfortunately as I have quite a long body, it’s not long enough to tuck into the skirt and therefore I can’t get the same look but I still really like the top.

Oasis navy heart top - £28

There seems to be a lot of heart patterns around at the moment and this top from Oasis really caught my eye. I like the pattern and the fact that it crosses over at the front.

Primark furry jumper - £10

I have some grey skinny jeans that I also got from Primark a while ago but I have never worn them as I didn’t think I had much to go with them. I saw this jumper this morning and thought it looked so warm and cosy and would go well with the grey jeans.

Primark black and grey jumpers -£8 each

These are just really handy tops to have and the grey one would go well with my leather skater skirt :) They are really inexpensive as well and easy to wear.

Warehouse quilted handbag - £38

If you saw my handbag wish list post you will have seen this bag on there as I have been lusting over it for ages now. I really wanted a new black handbag for work and this one is great for fitting everything in and the longer strap is really handy too.

So there are my new clothes that I have bought for the colder weather. I did buy these over a few weeks and I made sure I sold some of my other things so I had more money to spend and also more room in my wardrobe! I just felt like my wardrobe needed a bit of an update and some new winter clothes as the weather seems to have really turned recently.

Have you bought any new Winter outfits? Where are your favourite places to shop?

NOTD Maybelline Colour Show Nail Varnish

Helloooo!

I have been after a nude nail polish for a while now but I always end up going for the pinks and reds when it comes down to it. After I getting back from holiday though I dashed to Superdrug to pick up the new Maybelline Baby Lips and decided to pick up a nail varnish as well as there was a 3 for 2 offer on.

I went for this shade which is called Latte from the Colour Show range as I thought it would look nice with my post holiday tan! It is also quite a pale colour which I prefer to the more brownish nude shades that you can get. I was really impressed with the nail varnish and thought it was a good buy at only £2.99. I found it really easy to work with and managed to get a good week’s wear but of it before any chips appeared.

I really love the shade and being nude it’s so easy to wear as it goes with absolutely everything! :)

Have you tried the Maybelline Colour Show nail varnishes? Which are your favourite shades?

Handbag Heaven!

Handbag Heaven!

1.    Warehouse (£38) - I have been looking for a new black handbag just for taking to work that will easily fit all my bits and bobs in and I love this one from Warehouse. The only downside to this handbag for me is that it only has one small zip pocket and nowhere for your phone to go, but that doesn’t put me off enough to stop me wanting it :)

2.    Prada (£1,450) - Whilst I was on holiday in Turkey I went in so many leather handbag shops that sold copies of designer handbags and I fell in love with this one from Prada. I was really tempted to buy a fake one as they were genuine leather and really convincing fakes but I think I’d rather save up and buy the real thing one day.

3.    Coast (£45) - I saw this clutch bag in Coast whilst I was looking for an outfit for a wedding and I absolutely love it. I don’t really have an occasion to use it for or else I would definitely be treating myself!

4.    Warehouse (£38) - I love the colour of this handbag as well as the stud detail. It is also from Warehouse and I think it will be a close call as to whether I get this handbag for work or the first one in my wish list.

5.    Oasis (£30) - Sparkly things always catch my eye and this sequin clutch bag from Oasis certainly did just that. I think this would be a really nice bag to have around Christmas and New Year and would go with so many different outfits.

Thanks for reading xx
