Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub Review

Hi everyone,

I’ve never really used body scrubs very much, even though I know I should! However, when I was in Paris I went into a tiny shop where they had the most amazing Dead Sea scrubs that you could try on your hands at a little water fountain. The scrubs were so amazing and my hands have never felt so soft but they were really pricey and I didn’t feel like I could justify splashing out on one. When I got home I decided it was time that I exfoliated my skin more so I picked up the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush body scrub when I was in Boots.

I was a bit surprised by the smell of the scrub at first because it wasn’t really what I was expecting. I think I thought it was going to be more of a sugary sweet smell and although it is very sweet, it is mostly lime that comes through. I’m not complaining though as this makes it feel and smell really fresh.

The scrub worked really well and left my skin feeling super soft. I would say to use this scrub when your skin is fairly dry as it did go quite watery when I used it in the shower which obviously reduced its scrubbing power. I have quite sensitive skin but I haven’t had any problems with this scrub causing any irritation at all.

For £8 you get a large 300ml tub which I think is a bargain and I have used this scrub a lot recently but still have loads left. I’d definitely recommend giving this product a try and I can see me buying it again once it has run out.

Have any of you guys tried the Soap & Glory body scrubs? Which other body scrubs would you recommend?

Nars Blusher in Sin Review

Hi everyone!

Nars has very quickly become one of my favourite makeup brands and I love their blushers in particular. They have some gorgeous shades that are a bit different to any others I have tried and I really love the formula of them.

ASOS had 20% off before Christmas so I decided to treat myself to the Nars blusher Sin as it had been on my wish list forever. I was a bit unsure at first as it is a plum colour and I didn’t want it to look like I had been punched in the face! However I needn’t have been worried as it actually looks really lovely and has a subtle golden shimmer running through it. I think this looks fab with the Topshop highlighter in Sunbeam which gives a lovely golden glow to the skin.

I love that this blusher is so pigmented and is easy to blend so it can actually look really natural. Alternatively you can also build it up for a more dramatic look. I think this is such a gorgeous wintery colour and it is so long lasting; it won’t budge an inch on my skin all day.

I’m so glad I decided to go against my uncertainties with this blusher and try something a bit different to the rosy pink blushers that I usually go for. I would definitely recommend this blusher and I can see it being one that I will buy again.

Have you tired this blusher? Which other blushers would you recommend?

OOTD #1

Hi guys!

This is my very first outfit of the day post! :) I was going out for a meal with some friends a few days ago so I thought I’d take a couple of photos of the outfit that I wore so I could start doing some OOTD posts.

The top I have on is from Warehouse and was about £38 if I remember correctly. They also had a lovely green pencil skirt in Warehouse that I really liked but I found this similar one in Primark for just £8! The wedge shoes are also from Primark and I have had them for ages so I’m afraid I can’t remember how much I paid for them. My clutch bag is another Primark purchase which I have again had for so long and I have used it to death! It was £9.

On my lips I have the Bourjois Shine Edition lipstick in Grenade which I absolutely love and have been using constantly throughout winter as it is such a gorgeous berry shade. I have written a full review of it here if you would like to see it in a bit more detail.

So there you have my first OOTD. I hope you enjoyed reading xx

My Trip To Paris!

Hi guys,

I was lucky enough to go to Paris just before Christmas with my boyfriend and we had such an amazing time.

We got there on the Friday and went to the Christmas markets at La Défense before going on to a comedy show called ‘How to be a Parisian in a Day’ which was so funny.

On the Saturday we went to the circus which was amazing. It was a proper old fashioned circus and so enjoyable to watch. They had everything you could think of including acrobatics, clowns and dancing horses and all the people in it were so talented. After the circus we went to the Champs élysées which was soooo busy! It was really difficult to have a look around simply due to the sheer number of people so we ended up going on a big ferris wheel which had an amazing view of the city.

The Sunday was a bit slower paced as we wondered around and went on a boat trip down the River Seine which was absolutely freezing! We then went to another Christmas market near the Eiffel Tower in the evening to get in the Christmas spirit.

We were coming home on the Monday but we had the morning in Paris so we went to look round some of the department stores which all had absolutely amazing Christmas windows.

So that was my time in Paris in a nutshell. The weekend went so fast but we had a fantastic time and I can’t wait to go back! :)

Have any of you been to Paris? What did you get up to when you were there?
