Haul

Hi everyone,

Recently I have been really bad and spent way too much and as a result I am now putting myself on a shopping ban! Before I do though, I thought I would share a few of the things that I have bought in case any of you are stuck for inspiration or are like me and just like having a nosy at what people are buying :)

What have you been buying for autumn? Where are you favourite places to shop?

Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette in Strip

Hi everyone,

A few months ago I bought the Urban Decay Naked Flushed palette in Streak and absolutely love it (you can read a full review here). As I have used it so much I decided that I wanted to get some of the other Naked Flushed palettes and so last week whilst I was in Manchester I bought the Strip palette.

Strip contains the darkest shades out of the three new options and I was slightly worried that the bronzer would be a little too dark for my pale skin. However, I use the Sigma Duo Fibre brush to get a lighter finish and make sure I’m not too heavy handed with it and the finish is really pretty and not at all too dark. It has a subtle golden shimmer to it which gives a gorgeous sun kissed glow to the skin without being too over the top.

Strip highlighter is a golden shade which has fairly large speckles of shimmer in it. I do feel that this highlighter doesn’t have as much of a highlight effect as some of the others in my collection as it is quite dark and doesn’t show up that well on my skin. I still think it adds a pretty shimmer to the blusher when applied on the cheek bones though.

The blusher in this palette is a deep pink shade which has a matte finish and will be lovely for autumn. I really like this shade and think that it goes really well with the berry coloured lipsticks that I have been wearing recently.

Overall I think I prefer Streak which I bought first over this one but it is very close. I still really like this palette though and will definitely be getting the others in the collection :)

Have you tried any of the Naked Flushed palettes? Which is your favourite?

NOTD Tanya Burr Riding Hood

Hi everyone,

As you may have seen in my last post I am loving autumnal berry colours at the moment and so when I saw this gorgeous deep red nail polish by Tanya Burr I just couldn’t resist (despite being on a nail polish buying ban!).

I really like the Tanya Burr polishes and think the formula is fab. They go on so smoothly and you could probably get away with only applying one coat, especially with the darker shades. I have applied two coats in the photo though to really deepen the colour and make it look extra glossy.

I think this is one that I will be wearing a lot in the coming months as it is just so pretty :)
Have you tried this polish? Which are your favourite colours in the Tanya Burr range?
